Comics sales down for December, Dark Knight #1 all time low

Icv2.com reports that the sales through Diamond Distributors were down 7.5% for the month. Batman: The Dark Knight #1 was #1, selling an estimated 89,985 copies. That is the lowest number for a number one comic since the website began tracking such stats in March of 2001. Only five out of the top 25 showed an increase in circulation while 18 showed decreases. DC had eight out of the top ten spots and 13 of the top 25. The highest Marvel title for the month was New Avengers #7 coming in at eight.
