Hot on the heels of the news of a live action Captain Planet movie, reports have surfaced about another 90s cartoon going live. Or is it? Disney is planning on doing a live action movie called Gargoyles, but said it's not based on the cartoon show. The premise sounds familiar though. The movie "centers on a world in which the stone statues on buildings come to life." What??? That was the premise to the cartoon show!!! It gets worse, the script will be written by David Elliot and Paul Lovett, who brought us G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra. Yikes. Lauren Shuler Donner (the X-Men franchise) will produce. Wow. I am not sure what is going on here. Thoughts?
