Trailer for "Night of the Living Dead: Origins"

I first heard about this about a year and a half to two years ago. I thought "Not again." but hearing more intrigued me. Yes, this is indeed another remake of the classic horror movie, but director Zebediah De Soto talked about wanting to do more about the characters, especially their back stories and  how life would have been different if this hadn't happened. Also, instead of outside the rural Pennsylvanian town of Willard, it takes place in New York City. It is also 3D animation, or as De Soto calls it "American style anime." Looks kinda cool.

Actors Tony Todd and Bill Moseley who were in the 1990 remake by Tom Savini, return to their roles of Ben and Johnny respectively. They are joined by Danielle Harris (Halloween IV, V and the Zombie remake) as Barbara and Tom Sizemore (Saving Private Ryan, Black Hawk Down) as Chief McClellan ("that's another one for the fire" fame). Joseph Pilato, who played Captain Rhodes in Romero's Day of the Dead plays Harry Cooper.

Still no release date and fans are wondering if this will ever come out. You know I'm tired of zombies, but color me interested...
