We originally reported that the Wolverine movie was to start production in October, it now seems like it has been pushed back to Spring of 2012. No explanation has been given. Hugh Jackman is currently filming an adaptation of Les Miserables. The script is based off of the mini series back in 1982 by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller. James Mangold (3:10 to Yuma remake) is directing the sequel.
This obviously put the release date of sometime in 2012 in doubt. However, Marvel Studios already has three films coming out next year (Ghost Rider, The Avengers, The Amazing Spider-Man) and with all the complaints the previous Wolverine film had, the last thing they need to do is rush this one just to get it out.
