January sees the solo debut of Joshua Luna in a six-issue mini series from Image called Whispers. The one half of the successful Luna Brothers behind the hit books Ultra, Girls, and The Sword decided to pick up the pencil as well as the pen.
"A lot of people who are familiar with my writing may not know this, but I started drawing long before I attempted to write," said Luna. "I’ve been dying to tackle the art on a comic book series for a long time, but I’ve been waiting for the right time and the right story."
The story is about a mentally troubled man who is given the ability to leave his body and manipulate people in "strange and disturbing ways." Given the track record, expect another hit for Joshua Luna.The first issue comes out January 26.
