Marvel Studios announced yesterday that Patty Jenkins has signed on to direct the next installment of the THOR franchise. As you may remember, Kenneth Branagh would not direct the sequel, but would stay on as a producer. The release date has been moved to November 15, 2013 as well. The original date was for July 26, 2013.
Ms. Jenkins wrote and directed the movie MONSTER, which Charlize Theron won an Academy Award for her portrayal in the lead role Aileen. Jenkins recieved an Emmy nomination for her directing the pilot episode of AMC's show THE KILLING.
