It seems that the net is buzzing about the second Marvel movie in 2014 will be GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY (the first being CAPTAIN AMERICA 2). All of this is based on the report from
Latino Review which said that the GUARDIANS film will lead into the AVENGERS sequel in 2015. An official announcement is expected at the San Diego Comic-Con here in a couple of weeks.

Latino Review had said before that the second Marvel film of 2014 would be BLACK PANTHER. There's still a chance for a PANTHER film, but a GUARDIANS film makes more sense based on other indicators. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has talked about this particular property a few times, plus the whole Thanos cameo in THE AVENGERS. The Guardians recently made an appearance on AVENGERS: EARTH'S MIGHTIEST HEROES cartoon.

The Hollywood Reporter, Nicole Perlman has already written a "highly regarded" script. She has two space bio-pics to her credit: CHALLENGER (about the space shuttle disaster in 1986), and an untitled Neil Armstrong project.
My question is who will be on the team? Will they do a X-Men and cherry pick members from the classic lineup and the more recent teams? or do like the Avengers, which was mostly founding members with the additions of Captain America, Hawkeye, and Black Widow?
