Chris Columbus To Bring CREEPY To The Big Screen

Deadline is reporting that director/writer Chris Columbus (HARRY POTTER) and producer Michael Barnathan are bringing the classic horror magazine CREEPY to the big screen. The movie will have four segments, one will be written and directed by Columbus. The magazine was originally produce by Warren Publishing from 1964-1983. The series is currently being reprinted by Dark Horse Comics, who is also doing a new version of the book.

“I am thrilled to be immersed once again in the world of CREEPY and EERIE,” Columbus said in a statement. “They featured some of the most important comic book artists of the time and were incredibly influential in my desire to become a filmmaker. It is really exciting to have the opportunity to bring these unique tales to the screen and share them with today’s audiences.”
