The new comic book distribution company Comic Flea Market
will be displaying at the New York Comic Con this week at booth 2374.
This will be a strategic move to better position
publishers to take advantage of the quickly expanding digital marketplace and
new market economic realities in print comic books. CFM will also be distributing graphic novels,
trading cards, posters and e-books.
The new distribution company will be displaying samples,
offering show-specific coupons, as well as looking for new partners at the
convention.
One of the key differentiators is CFM’s ability to print
to order. As a business model, this suits clients in terms of removing the
requirements to overprint certain titles and deal with a costly administrative
bureaucracy.
"Many people have tried to compete with Diamond and
failed. What makes Comic Flea Market unique is a lot of mainstream book publishers
and DVD companies such as Warner Bros. are going print on-demand on some of
their titles. Comic Flea Market is doing it for the entire comic book
marketplace," said CEO Nick Sachs from Comic Flea Market. "Not only
will we be handling the printing of the titles, we will also handle
distribution to comic book stores at the same discounts that they are used too.
This dynamic will secure the place for printed material in comic book
stores."
Comic Flea Market will also be working with comic book
stores in developing a comparable discount to Diamond Distributors.
CFM has a growing list of national publishers. Visit them at booth 2374 or go to
