Less than 24 hours after reports of Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan are
reprising their roles in the upcoming X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, sources confirm to
The Hollywood Reporter that Hugh Jackman is in negotiations to be in the film as well. The actor recently finished filming for the next Wolverine film (THE WOLVERINE) which will come out next summer (July 26). Jackman had a rather memorable cameo in X-MEN: FIRST CLASS. The film is based on the classic Chris Claremont, John Byrne story in which Kitty Pryde from an alternate future comes back to the past to avoid the assassination of Senator Robert Kelly. His death leads to a campaign that found mutants dead or in internment camp.
X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST hits theaters July 18, 2014.
