Lawrence Kasdan is returning to the STAR WARS franchise according to
The Hollywood Reporter. He and Simon Kinberg have apparently signed on to write either one of the chapters of the next trilogy (Michael Arndt of Little Miss Sunshine fame is writing the script for Episode VII). They will also be producers of the film. No official announcement has been made, but the report states that any regarding the new Star Wars will appear on StarWars.com.
Lawrence Kasdan wrote the screenplay for what most fans consider the best of STAR WARS films - THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK. His other work include: SILVERADO, THE BIG CHILL, RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK, and DREAMCATCHER. Simon Kinberg's writing credits include - MR.& MRS. SMITH, SHERLOCK HOLMES, X-MEN: THE LAST STAND, and the upcoming X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST.
