Interesting little posting here from Jim Starlin's Facebook page:
I have just completed scripting the first two issues of an on-going series for DC Comics. Can't say what the title is until DC wants the news out. But I imagine a lot of people will be quite surprised to see me take over the writing chores on this particular property. Been having a (surprisingly) fun time with it so far.
In the comments section, he plays along with the joke about a Sugar and Spike revival:
Okay, somebody finally hit on the right title. My Sugar's going to have a real edge to her and Spice will have a very dark secret that won't be revealed for a few issues down the line.
Mr. Starlin also added this little tidbit:
It's a title I have never before had anything to do with, really from out in left field. Shouldn't be too long before DC Comics makes the announcement. I believe my issues begin in April.
Interesting. I had been under the impression that Starlin would never go back to DC or Marvel after his last couple of stints. Anyway, this is good news for fans (like me) of the man who made Captain Mar-Vell and Adam Warlock popular and who's creation (Thanos) appeared in the end credits of THE AVENGERS movie. He most recently handled the mini-series DEATH OF THE NEW GODS, RANN-THANAGAR HOLY WAR and STRANGE ADVENTURES for DC. He also wrote and drew his own creations: DREADSTAR and KID COSMOS.
