J.J. Abrams To Direct Episode VII After All?

There is no official word from StarWars.com, but Deadline and The Wrap (among other sites) are reporting that J.J. Abrams will indeed be directing the next STAR WARS film. This is surprising since the director recently said he passed on the project out of loyalty to the STAR TREK franchise.

Michael Ardnt (TOY STORY 3, LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE) is on board supplying the screenplay. STAR WARS EPISODE VII is expected sometime in 2015. The next STAR TREK film, INTO DARKNESS, hits movie screens this May 17.
