Deadline is
reporting that Marvel Studios has added Joseph Gordon-Levitt to the list as possible actors to play Peter Quill (also known as Star-Lord) in the upcoming GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY film. That
list also includes: Joel Edgerton, Jack Huston, Jim Sturgess, Lee Pace,
Zachary Levi and Eddie Redmayne. Levitt's name has also been tossed around to play Batman since his appearance in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES.
There hasn't been a lot of news regarding this film especially in the casting department.
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY is scheduled for an August 1, 2014 release. The film will be directed by James Gunn, based on a screenplay written by Nicole Perlman, Chris McCoy, and Gunn.
