The 30 Characters Challenge, an annual online challenge
to create 30 characters in just 30 days, one for every day in the month of
November, is now underway. In its fifth
year, the online challenge sponsored by ComixTribe and organized by Tyler
James, has once again brought together a diverse collection of international
artists and writers interested in creating something new.
"I now associate the beginning of November with
three things: Left-over Halloween candy, pumkin flavored EVERYTHING, and
rampant creativity. That last one, of course, is thanks to 30 Characters!"
said challenge originator Tyler James.
"Every year, it's exciting to see who comes out, and the talent and
new ideas put on display."
To date, more than 1,300 creators have participated in
the #30Characters Challenge, and more than 175 have successfully completed
it...with many hoping to add their names to that list this year. Many
characters created in past 30 Characters Challenges have gone on to be featured
in books, webcomics, video games, and graphic novels.
Here's a look at some of the characters created already
in this year's challenge:
Daddy's Girl by Robert McKeone
FlappyJaws by Eric Crowe
Plasmama by SE Gibson
Elliot the Sea Monster by Nathan Seabolt
