"I've long loved terse, brutal, pulp pop crime stories," said writer Ryan K Lindsay. "With one foot in taut paperback vintage like old dime stores delivered and the other foot deep in decades of high quality neo noir comics, CHUM is my flag in this fertile blood soaked ground."
CHUM is a surf noir book where an unloved triangle on a small island leads to blood in the water.

But when a bag full of cash and drugs falls into her lap, she sees a way out... and anyone who gets in her way is shark bait.

Each issue of the series features a standard cover by Sami Kivela and a limited variant cover by industry stars and upcoming talent.
"It’s been a huge privilege to work again with such a talented and hard-working writer and gentleman as Ryan," said Kivela. "As a big fan of crime comics, I’ve truly enjoyed illustrating every panel of this thrilling beach noir story. Can’t wait for readers to experience what happens on Kingsford Island."
This series is the second collaboration between Lindsay and Kivela, who made waves last year with the successful DEER EDITOR digital-only Kickstarter campaign.
"Getting to work with Sami again has been a truly amazing collaborative experience, and watching the colors of Mark Dale bring this world and these tragic figures to life is my pleasure... while it'll be their downward spiral," said Lindsay.
ComixTribe has announced that teaser images, previews and more will be posted at the new CHUM Facebook Page, in anticipation of the series' release in April 2016.
CHUM will release in the direct market and digitally (day-and-date) on Comixology.
