Ted Kord in Smallville; Hopkins is Hitchcock?; Picture of Spidey in action; FF "death issue" to sell early

A follow up to the casting of Booster Gold and Blue Beetle which you can read here, Sebastian Spence (First Wave) has been cast as Ted Kord for the Smallville episode "Booster." In the comics, Ted Kord was the second man to be called Blue Beetle for the current version Jaime Reyes (which is the version we'll see in the episode). Good choice and I'm glad to see that Ted is alive in this universe. :)

Sir Anthony Hopkins is in talks to play the title role in Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho, based on a 1998 non-fiction book of the same name. We obviously know what will be happening during the movie based on that title. I'm a big Hopkins fan and think this is a good choice. This might be interesting since this movie basically was the inspiration of modern horror in general and the birth of slasher movies.

Here is one of many pics that have hit the internet showing off the Spider-man costume from the upcoming movie. It strays from the comic a little bit, but not that much. If you look at his left wrist, you'll see something metal...webshooters?? What do you guys think? Not too bad in my opinion.

Marvel has given the green light to comic stores who get their books on Tuesday that it's ok to sell Fantastic Four # 587 when it comes out on the 25th. The thinking is to avoid spoiling fans who don't want to know until reading the book. The tricky part is with the changes of shipping that took place recently, comic stores in Britain will get their books hours before anyone on the east coast so for the first time comic bloggers in Britain can spoil it for the Americans.
