2 Avatar sequels planned; Do we have our Superman?, "Evil Dead" being remade?, Goodbye Wizard?

James Cameron told Entertainment Weekly that expects Avatars 2 & 3 to be released Christmas 2014 and 2015. Still haven't seen the first one and not interested. Oh well, you guys have fun!

Geoff Boucher of The Los Angeles Time Hero Complex tweeted that Joe Magniellois the frontrunner to portray the Man of Steel in the Chris Nolan/Zack Snyder reboot. A source to Comicbookmovie.com says the same thing. This same sources told CBM that expect big news regarding "The Dark Knight Rises" and 24 hours later we found out about Tom Hardy was playing Bane and Anne Hathaway was playing Catwoman. Take it for what it's worth.

Rob Tapert, the man who operates Ghost House Pictures with Sam Raimi, says that they are still working on an "Evil Dead" reboot.
"It's possible; we're looking at a script this month" Tapert said. "What's interesting about 'Evil Dead' is very few people saw it in the format we made it for, which is for the theater. ... I think Sam wants to embrace the ultimate experience in grueling terror and see it remade for a proper theatrical experience."
Sigh...LEAVE IT ALONE! I'm not sure if I even wanted another sequel. I sure as heck don't want a reboot.

Bleedingcool.com is reporting that Wizard magazine closed their doors effective immediately. The sales of the magazine have been declining, so apparently the focus will be their sister magazine Toyfare and their conventions.

If true, I have mixed about this. There is not a lot of comic book magazines out there and Wizard used to be the best. But price increases, lower page counts and the fact that they print news that I read about online a couple of months earlier made me stop reading the magazine. I'm sure I'm not the only one who felt this way.

Update - Newsarama confirms that Wizard AND Toyfare have ceased publications. They will release an online publication called "Wizard World" in February.
