Looking for Lois Lane; More Final Destinations?; More Frankenstein; Killer Shrews return; Party with Captain America and Green Lantern

What's playing has a short list of actress who have read or being asked to read for the part of Lois Lane for the Superman reboot. Here is the list... Kristen Stewart (Twilight saga), Malin Akerman (Watchmen), Dianna Agron (Glee), Jessica Biel (7th Heaven, Blade Trinity), Rachel McAdams (Sherlock Homes). The number one choice took herself out of the running when she signed on to The Dark Knight Rises to play Selina Kyle (that would be Anne Hathaway). A couple of other names are out there, but what do you think? Out of these choices, I would go for Rachel McAdams.

Even though the fourth in the series was called "The Final Destination," we will be treated to a fifth installment this fall, and that's not all. According to actor Tony Todd, they are looking to shoot parts six and seven back to back! UGH. I've seen the first two and that's it. It was an unique concept that has now been run into the ground. The only thing that changes is the near death escape and how the people who cheated death finally die. STOP THE MADNESS!!!

Tired of Zombies? Vampires? Werewolves? Let's run something else into the ground. I dunno...maybe Frankenstein? Cinema Blend is reporting that there will be a film adaptation of the novel The Dark Endeavor: The Apprenticeship of Victor Frankenstein written by Kenneth Oppel. This marks the fourth (known) Frankenstein film project to be in prodcution or pre-production. One is a modern take of the story to be directed by Craig Fernandez, one that is an  adaptation of the Peter Ackroyd novel The Casebook of Victor Frankenstein, and Guillermo del Toro's take of the classic story. Sigh...

52 years after the original movie, a sequel to The Killer Shrews is being made. James Best, star of the film returns to his role as Captain Thorne Sherman and also stars John Schneider (a Dukes of Hazzard reunion!), Jennifer Lyons, and...Mel Tillis??? The premise is that Captain Sherman is hired to take cast and crew to the island to film a reality show. Of course the shrews appear and hilarity ensues.....

Simply Superhero has published on their Facebook page party items that are in conjunction with the movies Green Lantern and Captain America: The first Avenger. You can find them here and here. What do you think? Wanna party?
