Kevin Smith's Last Film, "Hit Somebody," Will Be in Two Parts

Kevin Smith's next movie is to be his last. He plans to focus on producing and distributing films, plus he has his podcasts, a talk show and reality show in the works. Hit Somebody is inspired by the Warren Zevon song of the same name. It's the story of a "Canadian farm boy" whose particular talent is beating people up on the ice and eventually is a goon in the NHL. He announced the decision to split the film into two during a screening of his recent film Red State in Montreal.

I like Kevin Smith, but maybe this is for the best. I have not enjoyed his films recently, but enjoy hearing his stories. The man has had a lot of interesting things happen to him since starting out to be a filmmaker. The talk show thing has me concerned - it's been described as a combination of Regis and Kelly plus the comedic bits from the Daily Show. My problem is will he shut up long enough to have guests on. He loves to talk you know...
