NBC to Develop a Frankenstein TV Series

Geek Tyrant is reporting that NBC is developing a Frankenstein series with a modern take. The script is being written by House executive producers Russell Friend and Garrett Lerner.  It will be setup at Universal, who own the rights of the character.

OK, when I read the headline, I thought "Geez." Then I read about the "modern take." There are at least two films involving a modern take of the Frankenstein story and that many films with the classic approach. Ugh. Ol' Frankie is going to wear out his welcome before he even gets here!

I might be interested if that Abby person is involved. Oh yeah, Abby Normal! That's the one!
