Ann Nocenti Takes Over Green Arrow

Ann Nocenti returns to comics and to her first ongoing series for DC Comics - Green Arrow. She replaces Kieth Giffen and Dan Jurgens who replaced original writer JT Krul with issue #4.

“I’m thrilled to be taking over Green Arrow. What I adore about the Arrow is his recklessness. He’ll shoot off on an impulse, dispatch someone if they deserve it; his heroism is instinctive. I start with a crazy trilogy that is chock full of surprises. Arrow gets a new woman (and boy, is it complicated), flings himself out of his old life into a new one, and meets a new world class villain. It’s gonna be a wild ride!”

Nocenti is best known for her run on Daredevil from 1987 to 1991, with John Romita Jr. being her penciller for most of that run. She also did a sixteen issue run on Kid Eternity for Vertigo in 1993-1994, but for the most part had retired from comics writing since 1996. Her first issue will be #7.
