Francavilla won Best Cover Artist at the Eisners last
year, in part, for his work on the covers for another high profile crossover,
Archie Meets KISS. This will be his first interior work on an Archie title.
Aguirre-Sacasa just wrapped up his last Archie project,
the epic 4-part Archie Meets Glee crossover, and was recently announced as the
screenwriter for the upcoming live action Archie movie from Warner Bros.
Archie Comics will distribute Afterlife with Archie as a
direct market only series, which sees a strong departure from typical Archie
storylines. The zombie apocalypse begins in Riverdale on October 9th.
